Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all Newy Tour Co tours: our Hunter Valley wine tours (including local pickup and private options), Newcastle city tours, the Newcastle Food and Street Art walking tour, Port Stephens day tours (including dolphin and whale watching cruises), wildlife tours, Country NSW day tours and private charters.

Bookings and payment

Tours are booked through our secure booking platform Rezdy. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and you receive a confirmation email. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancel more than 24 hours before your tour start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour, and no shows, are not refundable. To cancel or reschedule, email [email protected] or phone 0432 044 160.

If we need to cancel a tour (for example due to severe weather or minimum numbers not being met) you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Age requirements

All guests on Hunter Valley wine tours must be 18 years or older. Photo ID may be required at cellar doors. We practise responsible service of alcohol and cellar doors may decline service at their discretion.

Children aged 7 years and over are welcome on all other tours, including our Newcastle city tours, food and street art tour, Port Stephens tours, wildlife tours and Country NSW day tours. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the whole tour. We are unable to take children under 7.

Pickup and punctuality

Your pickup window is confirmed before your tour. Please be ready at the agreed time and location. If you are not present within 5 minutes of the agreed pickup time and we cannot reach you, the tour will depart and no refund will apply.

Weather, cruises and wildlife

Some tours include boat cruises run by local cruise operators, and sea or weather conditions can occasionally require the cruise element to be rescheduled or substituted with a comparable experience. Dolphins, whales and other wildlife are wild animals and sightings, while very common in season, cannot be guaranteed. Walking tours proceed rain or shine, so please dress for the conditions.

Itinerary changes

Venues and stops on each tour may vary due to availability, weather or seasonal conditions. Where a listed venue is unavailable we will substitute a comparable experience. Unless stated otherwise or purchased as a package at checkout, meals are at your own cost.

Your responsibilities

Please tell us when booking about dietary requirements, allergies, mobility needs or medical conditions that may affect your day, including on food tours where tastings are a core part of the experience. Our walking tours involve a few kilometres on foot at a relaxed pace, and some Port Stephens stops involve short hikes. Guests are responsible for their own belongings. We may refuse travel to anyone who is intoxicated or whose behaviour risks the safety or enjoyment of others, without refund.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Newy Tour Co is not liable for delays or events outside our reasonable control, including those affecting third party venues and cruise operators.
