Newy Tour Co (“we”, “us”) operates newytourco.com.au and provides day tours in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and surrounding regions. We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you book any of our tours (Hunter Valley wine tours, Newcastle city and food tours, Port Stephens day tours, wildlife tours, Country NSW tours or private charters) we collect your name, email address, phone number, pickup address in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley or Port Stephens area, the number and ages of guests in your party where relevant, and any dietary, allergy or accessibility needs you choose to share. Payments are processed securely by our booking platform Rezdy and its payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

When you browse our site we collect standard analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate location) through Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats, using cookies. Our advertising uses Google Ads conversion tracking.

How we use it

We use your information to run your tour (confirmations, pickup coordination, day of tour contact), to respond to enquiries, to improve our website and tours, and, where you have opted in, to send occasional news and offers. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share booking details only with the services needed to deliver your tour: Rezdy (bookings and payments), and where relevant the venues that host parts of your day, such as a lunch venue, cellar door or cruise operator (for example, dietary requirements or group numbers). Analytics and advertising providers receive aggregated or pseudonymous data under their own privacy policies.

Storage, access and correction

Your data is stored on secure systems provided by our website host and Rezdy. You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
